La Fée Paulette, as we meet her on social media and at wine events in France, is none other than Pauline Maziou, who lives and works in Quintenas, northern Ardèche.

Pauline's parents also farmed in the region, so working with the land and animals is not far from her. After a tortuous and adventurous few years, she starts working in a wine bar in Anonnay, where she meets several local winemakers, who influence her to study first with Jean Delobre (L Ferme des 7 Lunes) and then with our beloved Daniel Sage.

In 2019, he will start his own project on an area of ​​just half a hectare.

The substantial part of the work is manual, with only his old little tractor (who goes by the charming name Tintin) having access to the vineyard, and his pony grazing next to the house. He grows the grapes organically, with strong biodynamic inspiration (e.g. the lunar calendar and the use of herbal teas), striving to bring the voice of the terroir to the fore, giving free rein to all the actors of nature.
Pauline has a simple, yet complex goal in the cellar: to create the most expressive wines from the best possible base, using the simplest possible process, and to support them as they develop, without intervention.

The main character of the wines is given by the minerality of the crumbly granite soil and the vibrant energy of the impeccable raw materials, while the delicate concentration and soft texture of the fruits make them truly special.
