Entry-level Kadarka from the Hajdújárás Talánterem vineyard, where clay, limestone, and loess enrich the soil beneath the surface sand. Kadarka, the Estate’s main red variety, yields a fruity, easy-drinking wine when harvested from younger vines. Made from various Kadarka selections, including Oszkár’s own mass selection of 1,000 vines, chosen from the most promising plants of the 1880 and 1912 vineyards. Fermented using traditional foot-treading, with the berries pressed down twice daily in the fermentation vat as they rise to the surface under the influence of carbon dioxide. Aged for 7 months in large used oak barrels and bottled without fining or filtration.
