The grapes used to make this wine come from the Steinert vineyard, which is a Grand Cru area. However, Jean does not use the Grand Cru designation because the appellation requires a certain level of residual sugar in the wine.
This is a more classic approach to Gewurztraminer with immense power, elegance and the most wonderful aroma that this variety can give.

Jean-François Ginglinger lives and works in Pfaffenheim, in the heart of Alsace, continuing a family winemaking tradition that dates back to 1610. For generations, the Ginglingers have cultivated vines, crafted wines, and cared for their estate with deep respect for the land.
In the 1990s, his father, Jean-Louis Ginglinger, began transitioning the domaine to organic and biodynamic farming, while also experimenting with natural winemaking methods. When Jean-François took over the estate, he embraced these principles fully and pushed them even further...
