“Whakapiripiri Mai” means “to gather” or “to bring together” in Māori. The exotic name reflects the union of two very different vineyard personalities: Les Cailloux and Clos des Plantes. The result is an explosively vibrant, unique, and balanced Chenin Blanc, whole-cluster pressed in a traditional wooden basket press, then fermented and aged in tanks until the following May.

Olivier Lejeune丨Clos des Plantes

After spending ten years working in Asia, Olivier,  still disarmingly young, decided to turn his attention to wine. He completed his viticulture studies at the University of Auckland, followed by several formative years at Felton Road, one of New Zealand’s most renowned estates.

In 2017, he returned to France with his wife and young child, where he was mentored by Marc Angeli of Ferme de la Sansonnière, a key figure in the Loire Valley’s natural wine movement.
