Harvested in early September, this is 100% Blaufränkisch. Sixty-five percent of the grapes were left as whole berries, while 35% was pressed juice, and both fractions fermented spontaneously together for 4 days. The fermenting must was then transferred by gravity into second-fill oak barrels and tanks. The berry fraction remaining in the fermentation vat continued fermenting for another 12 hours before being gently pressed and added as a third component to a tank. After 9 months, the barrel and the two tank lots were blended, aged for an additional 12 months in tank, and bottled with minimal sulfur addition (10 mg/l).

Balázs Palya
Balázs Palya and his wife Julcsi emerged like uncut diamonds on the wine scene, beginning to bottle their own wines in 2019 with their 2020 vintage. Balázs is a local native, while Julcsi comes from nearby Nagyréde, a village with a long viticultural tradition and a family deeply involved in grape production. Both are shamelessly young, endlessly enthusiastic, and exemplary in their vineyard work and winemaking.
