One of the new favorites of the past decade, a variety bred in Southern Slovakia (Dunaj, meaning Danube) it translates by Kövesd. INSTEAD of the usual overripe, dried plum and coffee notes and enormous body, it is characterized by low alcohol and explosive fruity flavors – this is an easy-drinking Dunaj that doesn't feel intrusive even after the second glass.

The Kövesd project was born from the shared vision of two passionate friends, Attila Sánta and Zoltán Varga. In 2021, they planted nearly three hectares of vines in Garamkövesd and neighboring Bajta, determined to demonstrate the true potential of the long-abandoned vineyards of the Lower Garam region through their wines.
