Claus Preisinger
Claus first began working with grapes and wine as a hobby alongside his father. He later spent several formative years working with his neighbor, Hans Nittnaus, one of the leading figures of Burgenland’s Blaufränkisch scene. That period along with his mentor’s influence proved decisive, ultimately inspiring Claus to dedicate himself fully to winemaking.
He released his first vintage in 2000, farming just 3 hectares at the time. Today, he works 19 hectares spread across 64 individual plots. He practices uncompromising b...
