The grapes come from the neighboring village of Bechtheim, where the soil is slightly loessier. It is processed partly by whole-bunch pressing and partly by skin fermentation to increase the wine's acidity.
It is fermented and aged in old 1000-liter barrels. It is bottled without filtration, fining or addition of sulfur.
