Géza’s popular estate blend changes each year, but the goal remains the same: to showcase the terroir and create a joyful, lively wine. The 2022 edition is a blend of Kadarka, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, harvested in late September. Two barrels were made: one with whole-cluster pressed Kadarka, the other with the two French varieties, also whole-cluster pressed. Both were aged for one year in third-fill French oak barrels before Géza blended them and bottled the wine.

Géza’s journey to Mohács took him along unexpected twists and turns, guided by a mix of chance, timing, and an open-minded curiosity about the world of wine. Originally from Upper Hungary (now Slovakia), his father had vineyards near Kürt. While no wine was ever produced there, the family’s passion for a cellar was inherited by Géza.
