The vineyard in Nosza, in the Southern Csongrád region, was planted in 1880, making these the oldest known Kadarka vines in the world. Trained in the traditional bush-vine style, the vines survived the phylloxera epidemic thanks to the sandy soils typical of the area and remain ungrafted to this day.

Beneath the 50 cm layer of sand lies a loess soil rich in clay and limestone, giving the fruit from these 140-year-old vines a distinctive mineral character. Naturally low yields result in a remarkably concentrated juice. From Nosza Hill, the grapes are destemmed and macerated on the skins for 5–7 days, then aged in older, previously used barrels. This is a twice-fermented wine: first in 2023 and then again in 2024, spending a total of 24 months ageing in the cellar.

Burgundian in style and beautifully detailed, with plenty of raspberry and rosehip, alongside an intriguing earthy character.
