100% Chardonnay from a steep, east-facing slope, imparting freshness and a taut, precise acidity. The vines root in Lias-era marl (Marne du Lias), a defining soil of the Middle Jurassic, contributing pronounced minerality. After direct pressing, the wine was aged for two years in overfilled oak barrels, adding depth, creamy texture, and complexity. “Sous les Grands Prés” is a structured and serious Chardonnay, where the combination of extended barrel aging and marly soils produces a mineral-driven, precise, yet layered and elegant profile. This is a wine of patience - expressive in youth, but refined and deepening gracefully with time in the bottle.
