100% Blaufränkisch, half fermented destemmed and half as whole clusters for 11 days without punching down, then aged on its lees for 13 months in 300-liter (second-fill) Hungarian oak barrels. Minimal sulfur was added only before bottling. Medium-bodied, with lively acidity, plenty of red fruit, and minimal barrel. Earthy yet airy, layered without ever feeling excessive.

The Kövesd project was born from the shared vision of two passionate friends, Attila Sánta and Zoltán Varga. In 2021, they planted nearly three hectares of vines in Garamkövesd and neighboring Bajta, determined to demonstrate the true potential of the long-abandoned vineyards of the Lower Garam region through their wines.
