The fruit comes from an old Gamay vineyard planted with a mix of Gamay clones (local selections, Beaujolais clones, and small amounts from other origins). The soil is mostly red clay, with occasional limestone blocks adding diversity. The grapes undergo 12–15 days of maceration as whole clusters in a large stainless steel tank, with the cap kept moist by gentle bucket pump-overs. The wine is then aged for 9 months in 300- and 228-liter barrels of several previous fills.

Henri Chauvet
Born in 1987, Henri Chauvet lives and works in Boudes, in the Auvergne wine region of southern France. In 2020, he traded his suit for rubber boots, leaving behind a career in insurance to study viticulture and oenology.
During his apprenticeship in the Rhône Valley, he honed his craft under the guidance of Jérôme Bressy and the legendary Thierry Allemand of Cornas.
