100% Gamay, a blend of fruit from several sites, sourced from the steepest and most outstanding vineyards of Boudes. Basalt is the dominant soil type across these areas, in some places complemented by blue marl. The incoming grapes are gently foot-trodden to help start fermentation, bringing the most desirable native yeasts to the surface and aiding the extraction of the grape’s most valuable components. The wine is then aged for 9 months in 300- and 228-liter barrels of several previous fills.

Henri Chauvet

Born in 1987, Henri Chauvet lives and works in Boudes, in the Auvergne wine region of southern France. In 2020, he traded his suit for rubber boots, leaving behind a career in insurance to study viticulture and oenology.

During his apprenticeship in the Rhône Valley, he honed his craft under the guidance of Jérôme Bressy and the legendary Thierry Allemand of Cornas.
