Aries is a Rhine Riesling from the estate's oldest plantation, the Templomdombi vineyard, which was planted in 1976. Only a few clusters per head were harvested from the terrace at the top of the area in mid-September 2020, as a severe lack of head in the old plantation and the presence of deer limit the yield.
After gentle whole-bunch pressing, it was bottled directly into two larger and one smaller amphorae by gravity, unfiltered, unfined and without the addition of sulfur.

Stephen Bencze
István founded his estate on the Szent György Hill in 2011, which reached its final size of nearly 30 hectares step by step between 2011-2024. He has been working organically since the beginning, and since 2015 he has farmed the entire estate biodynamically (Demeter certified), with the goal of exploring old Hungarian grape varieties and the full potential of the terroir.
