Sotto Scacco is made from 100% carefully hand-selected Catarratto. This local variety, which is particularly close to Ermanno’s heart, not only surprises and electrifies us, but also possesses remarkable ageing potential.
After gentle pressing, the wine ferments spontaneously in seasoned, neutral oak barrels, where it matures until the arrival of spring. The barrels add texture and depth without taking away from the character of the vineyard and the grape variety.
The wine is bottled unfiltered, with only 600 bottles produced in each vintage.

Agricola Gilì
Agricola Gilì is run by the young and passionate winemaking duo Ermanno Vella and Alice Marconcini, who live on Sicily’s southwest coast in the picturesque village of Granitola Torretta, south of Marsala. Their deep connection to the land and love of nature culminated in December 2022 with the launch of their own project, focused on crafting natural wines that express the true character of their region. Their first vintage, 2023, already reflects this commitment.
