The soil is red sandstone, containing a very high amount of iron oxides, and is further enriched with granite rubble. The grapes were pressed in whole bunches and then the wine was aged for 9 months: half in new 500-liter oak barrels and half in two 228-liter multi-fill barrels. The oak does not dominate the wine at all, thanks in part to the precise selection of the wood.
